CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF THE
CONFIDENTIAL GROUP AS A REPRESENTATION UNIT
WHEREAS, a petition was received on September 29, 1994 from
forty-four (44) employees representing sixty-two (62) various
management and confidential positions in the City's management and
Confidential Group requesting that they be recognized as the
majority representative of these employees.
WHEREAS, a petition was received on July 13, 1995 from twelve
employees representing sixteen confidential positions, requesting
lseparation from the Management Group and recognition as a
representation unit.
WHEREAS, the Municipal Employee Relations Officer has
recommended that both the Management and Confidential Group be
separated and the Confidential employees be recognized as a
representation unit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
The Confidential Group be accepted as a separate
representation unit for the majority of these positions as provided
for in the South San Francisco Municipal Code, and as shown in
Attachment A.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a requ]ar meeting held on the 13th day of
September , 1995 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Draqo, Joseph A. Fernekes and Mayor
Robert Yee
NOES:
Councilmember Roberta Cerri Teglia
