CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING STORMWATERMANAGEMENT
SERVICE CHARGES TO PROVIDE REVENUE FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STORMWATERMANAGEMENT PLAN
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1993-1994
WHEREAS, Ordinance #1130-93 was adopted June 23, 1993 to
enable the City to levy charges for the local portion of the San
Mateo County Stormwater Management Program; and
WHEREAS, notices were published and a public hearing is now
required for enactment of the subject stormwater fees; and
WHEREAS, funding for the County-wide program will be provided
through fees levied by the Flood Control District; and
WHEREAS, funding for the local program is $450,000 and will be
provided from the fees collected under a strategy based on a per
parcel charge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco as follows:
1. A public hearing has been appropriately noticed and
conducted.
2. The Council hereby adopts, by a four-fifths (4/5) vote,
the following Stormwater Management Service charges for fiscal
year 1993-1994.
Single Family and Duplex Residential
(including one or two residential
units per parcel; not including
individual trailer units in
trailer parks):
$22.00 per
parcel
Multi-Family Residential and Trailer
Parks (all residential uses other
than single family and duplex):
$33.00 per
parcel
Commercial/Industrial (all
non-residential uses, including
unimproved lots):
$55.00 per
parcel
Parcels having an assessed valuation of less than $10,000 are
exempt from paying a service charge.
3. The fees set forth herein shall be made a part of the
Master Fee Schedule.
4. The "Report of Stormwater Management Services Charges for
1993-94", filed with the City Clerk in accordance with Chapter
14.04 of the Municipal Code, as submitted by the Director of
Finance, and attached hereto as Exhibit "A", is hereby adopted,
and the charges will be assessed on the City tax rolls and
collected with the regular municipal taxes. Pursuant to Chapter
14.04 of the Municipal Code, the charges shall constitute a lien
upon the respective parcels of real property in the city of South
San Francisco.
5. The City Clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution to be
published within fifteen (15) days after passage in the
Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published
in the City of South San Francisco, and shall further certify to
the Coun'ty Tax Collector or Auditor that the report was adopted
by the Council.

introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South

~RT OF STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SERVICES CHARGES FOR 1993-94
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 14.04 OF
THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE
In ac,:ordance with chapter 14.04 of the South San Francisco
Municioal Code, the following report is submitted. This report
descrlDes the procedure for charging those parcels of real property
which receive benefits of stormwater system services, and the
amount of the annual charge which will be imposed against each
parcel for fiscal year 1993-94.

This report refers to and incorporates by reference the report
entitled "Notice of Proposed Charges for 1993-94, City of South San
Francisco Stormwater Management Services Charges" prepared by and
on file at the City Engineer's office. That report summarizes the
1993-94 charges ~hat will be proposed to the City Council on July
28, 1993. Upon adoption of the proposed charges, or amendments
thereto, a report entitled "City of South San Francisco Stormwater
System (~harges", prepared by Engineering Data Services, Los Altos,
Califor:~ia will be completed; it will describe the amount of annual
charge :.mposed against each parcel, by assessor's parcel number,
for fish,al year 1993-94. All of these documents, including this
report, shall be filed with the county tax collector or auditor.
Accompa~ying the filing of this report shall be Clerk's endorsement
