CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPENSATION
PROGRAM FOR EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL
BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the Executive Management Compensation
Program adopted by Resolution 14-89 is hereby amended as set
forth 5n Exhibit "A". The remaining provisions of the Program
and suDsequent amendments not in conflict with the amendments
contained in Exhibit "A" shall remain in full force and effect
through June 30, 1994.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on
the 10th day of November , 1993 by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. ?enna, and Mayor Roberta
Cerri Teglia
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: Councilmembers Jack Drago and Robert .Yee
ABSENT: None

CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT COMPENSATION PROGRAM
JULY 1, 1993 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1994
The following revisions when incorporated into the existing
EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT COMPENSATION PROGRAM sets forth those
salaries, benefits, terms and conditions of employment which
shall be in effect for the period July 1, 1993 through June 30,
1994 and continuing thereafter, unless modified by the City
Council.
II. SALARIES
Effective with the pay period including October 1, 1993, the
salary schedule for all Executive Management employees shall
be increased by one and one-half percent (1.5%).
In addition to the salary provision stated above, the City
has agreed in principle to the following and will make a
good faith effort on behalf of the Executive Management
employees to secure the new benefit noted:

Contributions to Base Salary
This section is expanded to include a new sub-section
4. as follows:
4. IRS TAX EXEMPTION
The City will request a letter ruling from the
Internal Revenue Service granting a deferral from
federal withholding taxes of the employees'
contributions to PERS.
In order to obtain this deferral the parties agree
that the City will pick-up the employee's
contribution to PERS for those members of the
Executive Management group who elect on a one-time
irrevocable basis to participate in the pick-up
program.

C. VISION INSURANCE
This section is expanded to include a new sub-section
1. which will apply to all Executive Management
personnel:
Vision Insurance for Retirees
Effective July 1, 1993 retirees will be allowed to
purchase vision insurance coverage for the retiree
and spouse at the city's premium rate.

This section is expanded to include a new sub-section
1. which will apply to all Executive Management
personnel:
Effective July 1, 1993 retirees will be allowed to
purchase dental insurance coverage for the retiree
and spouse at the City's premium rate.
