CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT
#94-1 TO THE 1993-1994 OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the South San Francisco Unified School District has
expressed its desire to dispose of surplus school property at the
Alta Loma and Avalon School sites; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
has authorized staff to negotiate the purchase of certain portions
of the surplus property including the Alta Loma triangle, the upper
ballfield and adjacent parking lot at Avalon School and the
Memorial Park adjoining the Avalon site; and
WHEREAS, the properties have been appraised at a value of
approximately $1.5 million.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that it hereby adopts this budget amendment
to appropriate $1,575,000 from the undesignated general fund
balance to the non-departmental budget to cover the purchase of the
surplus school properties and related real estate transaction fees,
and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any and all
documents necessary to cover this purchase.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a requ]ar meeting held on the 12th day of
January , 1994 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Draqo, John R. Penna, Robert Yee and
Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT:
Councilmember Roberta Cerri Teqlia
