CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THAT THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPACT REPORT FOR THE ORANGE MEMORIAL PARK IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT HAS BEEN PREPARED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT AND HAS BEEN
REVIEWED AND CONSIDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, in June 1992 the Planning Commission held a public
hearing to solicit comments on the Orange Memorial Park Expansion
Project E.I.R.; and
WHEREAS, the City extended the public review period six weeks
beyond the legal minimum to assure that adequate time was allowed
for public comments; and
WHEREAS, approximately three hundred fifty (350) written
notices were sent to impacted property owners; and
WHEREAS, the draft EIR was recirculated on October 28, 1992;
and
WHEREAS, all potential environmental impacts and mitigation
measures have been incorporated in and addressed by the E.I.R.; and
WHEREAS, all comments by the public and staff have been
addressed in the E.I.R.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission approved an additional forty
five (45) day review period ending March 10, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed and considered
and recommended certification of the E.I.R.; and
WHEREAS, the findings and recommendations of the Planning
Commission and staff are incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco as follows:
1. The City Council certifies that the final Environmental
Impact Report for the proposed Orange Memorial Park Improvement
Project has been prepared and completed in compliance with CEQA,
the State CEQA Guidelines, and the City's Procedures.
2. The City Council further certifies that the information
contained in the final EIR has been reviewed and considered by the
members of the City Council.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of
April , 1993 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Drago, John R. Penna, Robert Yee, and
Mayor Roberta Cerri Teglia

ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT:
Councilmember Joseph A. Fernekes
