HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 153-1992RESOLUTION NO. 153-92 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH S~N FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONSULT WITH RESIDENTS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS IN THE EL Ck~INO CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA. WHEREAS, on October 14, 1992, by Resolution No. 13-92, the City of South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") initiated the process to adopt a Redevelopment Plan for the E1 Camino Corridor Redevelopment Project (the "Plan") and WHEREAS, the purpose of the proposed Plan is more particularly set forth in the staff report accompanying this resolution; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the proposed Plan will not cause the displacement of a substantial number of low-and moderate-income families; and WHEREAS, based on the foregoing, a Project Area Committee ("PAC") as defined by State law need not and will not be formed pursuant to Health & Safety Code Section 33385; and WHEREAS, while a PAC will not be formed, the City Council desires the Agency to continue to seek active consuktation with interested residents, businesses, and community organizations in the Project Area concerning the preparation, adoption, and implementation of the Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the CSty of South San Francisco that the Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized to consult with and obtain the advice of residents, businesses, and community organ£zations within the Project Area in the manner provided in Health and Safety Code Section 33385 for redevelopment projects not requiring formation of a statutory PAC. -1- I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a special meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1992 by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSTAIN: ABSENT: Councilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A.
