A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENT TO
ESTABLISH A REDEVELOPMENT AREA FOR THE
EL CAMINO CORRIDOR
REAS, the City has been working toward convincing the BART
2ommittee to select a subway alignment for the BART
n in South San Francisco; and
REAS, the BART Policy Committee has responded favorably to
's request for a subway alignment at Hickey Boulevard
preliminary meetings; and
, a critical factor in the Committee's favorable
response has been the City's willingness to explore alternatives to
off-set portion of the costs of the subway plan; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South Francisco, as follows:

2. Staff is hereby directed and authorized to prepare
the ne¢:essary documents to initiate the creation of the herein
discussed Survey Area and Redevelopment Plan.
3. This Resolution of Intention shall be forwarded to
the B~ Policy Committee as evidence of the City Council's
intention to take the initial steps necessary to create and
establi~h the E1 Camino/McLellan Redevelopment Area.

introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
FrancisCo at a regular meeting held on the 10th day of
