CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ASSESSMENT OF
COSTS FOR ABATEMENT OF ABANDONED VEHICLES
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 8.48 of the South San Francisco Municipal
Code, the Police Department is authorized to abate public nuisances by having
abandoned vehicles on private property towed away; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 38773.5 and South San Francisco
Municipal Code Section 8.48.150 the City may charge the costs of abatement to
the property owner and if the owner does not pay, the amount may be made an
assessment 'against the property to be collected as other property taxes.
WHEREAS, the following abatements were conducted pursuant to this authority
and remain unpaid:

Address: Water Dept. lot across from 950 Antionette Lane.
Date of Abatement: October 13, 1989; April 13, 1990.
Cost: $235 (Total of 3 vehicles towed).
Owner: City and County of San Francisco Water Department
APN: 093-331-040
Address: Water Dept. property at north end of C Street.
Date of Abatement: February 19, 1990.
Cost: $80.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that:
1) The costs of abatement listed above are assessed against the respective
property owners.
2) The City Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the San
Mateo County Controller who is hereby authorized to add the assessments to the
FY 1990-91 property tax roll.
3) The San Mateo County Tax Collector is hereby authorized to collect the
assessments in the same manner as all other property taxes.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting helld on the 11th day of_ July , 1990 by the following vote:
