HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3883-1964RESOLUTION NO. 3883 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REQUESTING COUNTY CLERK OF SAN MATEO COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES PURSUANT TO THE ELECTIONS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND TO FURNISH VOTING MACHINES RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo shall be, and is hereby, requested to permit the County Clerk of said County to render the services hereinafter specified relating to the conduct of the general municipal election to be held within said City ou TUESDAY, the 14th day of April, 196~, for the purpose of submitting the follow- ing to the qualified voters of said City nominees for the following municipal offices: a. Three (3) nominees for City Councilmen for full term b. 0ne (1) nominee for City Clerk for full term c. One (1) nominee for City Treasurer for full term. 2. That the election services requested by said City in connection with the holding and conducting of said election are more particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and incorporated herein the same as though fully set forth at length. 3. That this governing body shall, and does hereby, accept the terms and conditions of the performance of said election services, (and the furnishing of voting machines); and this governing body further agrees to make the payments therefor, as set forth iu Resolution No. 16928 of the Board of Supervisors prescribing the payments for the rendering of specified election services to cities and districts and for the furnishin~ of votin~ machines to cities, districts and political subdivisions by said County Clerk, adopted on the 19th day of December, 1961. 4. That this ~overuing body shall, and does hereby a~ree to comply with the terms and conditions of the instruc- tions for elections prepared by the County Clerk, attached hereto as Exhibit "B". Ahem, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca, and Frank Bertucelli None G. J. Rozzi ATTEST: ~' City Clerk EXHIBIT "A" ELECTION SERVICES REQUESTED FROM COUNTY CLERK: 1. Preparation and supplying of four (4) copies of precinct indexes to the affidavits of registration of eli- gible registered voters by consolidated election precincts as established by the governing body of such city or dis- trict iu connection with such election. 2. The addressing and preparation of polling place notices for the eligible registered voters of such city or district in connection with such election. 3. Where required, the inserting in envelopes for mail- ing sample ballots or other election matter to the eligible registered voters of such city or district in connection with such election. 4. Furnishing card or paper stock necessary for the preparation of polling place notices iu connection with such election. 5. The furnishing of voting machines and such other election equipment as is necessary for or incidental to said election. PAYMENT TO BE MADE BY CITY OR DISTRICT: 1. Furnishing precinct indexes at $3.00 per thousand names or portion thereof appearing thereon, with minimum charge to be $3.00. 2. The addressing and preparation of polling place notices for the eligible registered voters at $10.45 per thousand for each one thousand, with minimum charge to be $1o.45. 3. Where required, the inserting in envelopes for mail- ing election matter to the eligible registered voters $5.90 per thousand for each one thousand, with minimum charge to be $5.90. 4. Furnishing card stock for polling place notices to eligible re2istered voters $6.25 per thousand large card stotk and $~.25 per thousand small card stock or paper stock. 5. For services required for use of voting machines furnished by County Clerk other than drayage costs or the cost of printing ballot labels therefor, the sum of $7.75 per machine for each voting machine used at said election. 6. For services required to unseal the voting machines and take off and record the votes cast and reseal the machines before the city or district proceeds with official canvass, the sum of $0.75 (75 cents) per machine for each voting ma- chine used at said election.
