CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A GRADING AND
H~_ULING PERMIT TO J & P ENTERPRISES
BElT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that:
1. A Grading Permit be issued to J & P Enterprises
on the terms and conditions set forth in the application
of J & P Enterprises, including the plans entitled "Com-
mercial Building for J & P Enterprises, San Mateo Avenue,
South San Francisco, California - Grading Plan - Sheets No.1
and lA" dated 4/7/1964, and the recommendations of the
Director of Public Works set forth in his Inter-Office Memo-
randum to the City Council dated May 14, 1964.
2. A Hauling Permit be issued to J & P Enterprises
to haul excavated earth from the Westborough site northwester-
ly on Junipero Serra Boulevard to the intersection of Hickey
Boulevard and then northeasterly on Hickey Boulevard to the
intersection of E1 Camino Real, then southeasterly along
E1 Camino Real to the southeasterly limits of the City of
South San Francisco, and then upon following the designated
truck route in the City of San Bruno to the intersection'
of Dollar Avenue in the City of South San Francisco, then
along Dollar Avenue to the intersection of South Linden
Avenue and thence southerly on South Linden Avenue to the
intersection of San Mateo Avenue to the Commercial Building
site on'San Mateo Avenue.
3. The Permit shall contain provisions indemnifying
and holding the City, its elective officials, officers and
employees harmless from claims and further requiring the
conducting of the grading and excavating in a manner
that will not imjure any property in the vicinity of the
land to be graded.
4. The Director of Public Works shall ascertain by
inspection that said work is performed in accordance with
the Permit granted and upon completion of same shall file
with the City Clerk a report stating the results of said
inspection and certifying that the grading has been per-
formed in accordance with the Permit.
5. Permittee shall post a bond with the City Clerk
in the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) to indemnify
City for any damage which he may do to sidewalks or pave-
ments or sewers, and said bond shall also provide for in-
demnifying the City for the cost of removing from sidewalks
or pavements all earth or material as may have fallen or
spilled from his trucks and such bond shall inure to the bene-
fit of the City and saall give City the right of action
thereon in the event he fails to remove the earth or material
from the sidewalks or pavements or repair any sidewalks or
pavements or sewers damaged in conducting said hauling
operation.
