CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE
UNITED BAY AREA CRUSADE 1964
WHEREAS, in recognizing that the United Bay Area
Crusade is the most effective means devised yet to pro-
vide community youth, health and welfare services for
ourselves and our neighbors, the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco reaffirms its position of
endorsing the United Crusade, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council unanimously endorses
this year's financial goal which is an increase of 35%
over the amount ever realized before and represents the
needs of the agencies supported by United Crusade funds
and is designed to eliminate supplementary drives, and,
WHEREAS, this goal will require the support of
every segment of the community, and,
WHEREAS, each individual should consider the needs
of the community when making his contribution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco that it asks all in-
dividuals in this city to consider the United Bay Area
Crusade's appeal for fair share gifts as a measure of
human needs.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 21st day of September ,
1974 , by the following vote:
AYES, COUNCILMEN Patrick E. Ahem, Frank Bertucelli, Emilio
Cortesi, Andrew Rocca, and Guido J. Rozzi
