CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND
ABANDON A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT, TO
WIT: A lO-FOOT SEWER EASEMENT IN PAR-
CEL 1-C (PORTION OF LANDS OF PIONEER
INVESTOR SAVINGS & LOAN)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco as follows:
1. This Resolution of Intention is adopted pursuant
to the Public Service Easement Vacation Law, Section 50430,
of the Government Code.
2. The public interest and convenience require, and
it is the intention of this Council, to vacate and abandon
the public service easement described as follows:
Ail that portion of the certain easement ten
feet in width for sanitary sewer purposes de-
scribed in deed from South San Francisco Land
and Improvement Company to Tanforan Company,
Ltd., recorded June 15, 1946, in Volume 1279
of Official Records of San Mateo County at
Page 414, that lies within the boundaries of
the following described parcel of real proper-
ty situate in the City of South San Francisco,
County of San Mateo, State of California:
BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of that
certain parcel described in Deed from Sunset
Tanforan Incorporated, a Delaware corporation,
to Big Eye-South San Francisco, Inc., a Calif-
ornia corporation, recorded December 30, 1964,
in Book 4867 of Official Records of San Mateo
County at Page 397 (1807-Y); thence from said
Point of Beginning N 37o00'48'' E 119.88 feet;
thence tangent to the preceding course along
the arc of a curve to the right havigg a radius
of 40 feet and a central angle of 90v56' 03",
an arc distance of 63.48 feet; thence tangent
to the preceding curve southeasterly along
the arc of a curve to the right having a radius
of 960 feet and a central angle of 6°O1'58'', an
arc distance of 101.08 feet; thence southwester-
ly S 44o37'43'' W 154.27 feet to the northeaster-
ly line of the parcel described in the above-
mentioned Deed; thence along said northeasterly
line N 52°59'12'' W 121.00 feet to the Point of
Beginning and containing 0.469 acres of land,
more or less.
3. Reference is hereby made to the map entitled
"10' Sewer Easement in Parcel I-C, a Portion of Lands
of Pioneer Investor Savings & Loan, City of South San
Francisco, California", Drawing No.A-445-Ol17--15, dated
September 8, 1965, prepared by Wilsey, Ham & Blair, on
file in the office of the City Clerk for particulars as
to said easement to beabandoned.
4. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 1st day
of November, 1965, at 8 o'clock p.m., in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, South San Francisco, is hereby fixed
as the time and place when and where all persons interested
in, or having objections to, the proposed vacation of the
public service easement, as hereinbefore described, may
appear before said CoUncil and be heard.
5. Notice of the vacation of said public utility
easement shall be posted conspicuously along the line of
said easement or part thereof to be vacated at least ten
(10) days prior to the date set for hearing, and said No-
tice shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, and
not less than three (3) of said Notices shall be posted.
6. Notice of the vacation of the public utility
easement hereinbefore described shall be published in the
"Enterprise-Journal", a newspaper of general circulation,
published in the City of South San Francisco, and said No-
tice shall be published at least two (2) successive weeks
prior to the hearing.
7. A copy of this Resolution shall be submitted to
the Planning Commission of the City of South San Francis-
co for its report and recommendation in accordance with
Section ~O435 of the Government Code.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a
meeting held on the 4th day of October
