in support of the foreign policy commitments of this

seeking to undermine this policy, and,
WHEREAS, these actions have been given such vast pub-

national leaders, members of our Armed Forces, and those
people throughout the world who resist aggressors and seek
an honorable peace are entitled to a forthright statement
of our support for and interest in them and their efforts;

1. The members of this City Council deplore the fact
that the publicity given to the demonstrations and actions
of a small minority of people may have misled many people

cause of peace and the welfare of our citizens and people
all over the world.

President of the United States, our national leaders and
members of our Armed Forces full support and warm devotion
as they perform their hard duty, thus assuring them that

any who may have been misled, including those of hostile
