CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VA-
CATE PORTIONS OF FOURTH LANE BE-
TWEEN SPRUCE AND WALNUT AVENUES
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that:
1o This Resolution of Intention is adopted pur-
suant to the Street Vacation Act of 1941.
2. The public interest and convenience requires
and it is the intention of this Council to vacate the
right of way for street and highway purposes over
portions of Fourth Lane described as follows:

PARCEL ~/1 OF FOURTH LANE:
A four foot Wide strip of Fourth Lane south of and
adjacent to Lot 29, Block ll6 as said Fourth Lane and Block
are sho~wn on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco",
(Sheet 2 of 2), San Mateo County, California, filed in the
Office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of
California, on March l, 1592, in Volume 2 of Naps at Page $2~
and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 29, said
point being the true point of beginning; thence proceeding
in a southeasterly direction along the southwesterly line of
Lot 29, said line also being the northeasterly line of Fourth
Lane, and proceeding along said line South 74° 27' East, 50.O0
feet to a point; thence turning and proceeding in a southwesterly
direction along the northwesterly line of Walnut Avenue South
15° $3' West 4.00 feet to a point; thence turning and proceeding
in a northwesterly direction North 74° 27' West 50.00 feet to a
point; thence turning and proceeding in a northeasterly direc-
tion North 15° 33' East 4.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
PARCEL ~/II OF FOURTH LANE:
A portion of Fourth Lane, in Block 116, as Said Fourth
Lane and Block are shown on that certain map entitled "South
San Francisco", (Sheet 2 of 2), San Mateo County, California,
filed in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo,
State of California, on March 1, 1892, in Volume 2 of Maps at
Page 52, and 'more particularly described as f~llows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot 24 which is
the true point of beginning; thence proceeding along the south-
westerly line of Lots 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, said line also being
the northeasterly line of Fourth Lane, proceeding along said line
South 74° 277 East 250.00 feet to a point, said point being the
southeasterly corner of Lot 28; thence turning and proceeding in
a southwesterly direction South 15° 33"'West 20.00 feet to a
point, said point being the northeasterly corner of Lot 13;
thence turning and proceeding alOng the northeasterly line of
Lots 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17, said line also being the southwesterly
?~ of Fourth Lane, proceeding along said line North 74° 27' ~st
250.00 feet to a point, said point being the northwesterly corner
of Lot 17; thence turning and proceeding in a northeasterly direc-
tion~orth 15° 33' East 20.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
3. The public interest, convenience and neces-
sity require the reservation of easements and right of
ways over, under, across and through the portion of
Fourth Lane described as Parcel II for public utility
pipes, lines, conduits and poles and appurtenances
thereto and sanitary sewers, storm drains and appurten-
ances thereto, and these vacation proceedings are taken
subject to such reservations and exceptions. The City
intends and does hereby reserve and except from the
vacation easements for the construction, reconstruction,
improvement, maintenance and operation of said public
utility pipes, lines, conduits and poles and appurten-
ances thereto, and water mains, sanitary sewer mains,
storm sewer mains and appurtenances thereto, over across,
under and through the portion of Forth Lane described
as Parcel II.
4. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 17th
day of January , 19 66, at the hour of 8 o'clock
p.m., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, South San Fran-
cisco, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and
where all persons interested in, or having objections to,
the proposed vacation of said portions of Fourth Lane
as hereinbefore described may appear before said Council
and be heard.
5. Reference is hereby made to the map or plan
entitled "Portion Of Fourth LaneTo Be Vacated and Aban-
doned, Block 116, South San Francisco, San Mateo County,
Calif.", dated December 17, 1965, which is on file in
the office of the City Clerk for particulars as to the
proposed vacation.
6. Notice of the vacation of the portions of
Fourth Lane shall be posted conspicuously along the
line of said portions or part thereof to be vacated
at least ten (10) days before the date set for hearing
and said notice shall be posted not more than three
hundred (300) feet apart and not less than three (3)
of said notices shall be posted.
7. A copy of this resolution shall be published
once in the "Enterprise-Journal", a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in said City, within
fifteen (15) days after adoption.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a reqular
meeting held this ~0th day of December
