HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 99-2002 RESOLUTION NO. 99-2002 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,165 AMENDING THE 2002-2003 OPERATING BUDGET ( NO. 03-11) WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council accept a grant in the amount of $23,765 from the California State Library to fund the Families for Literacy program; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council accept a Library Services and Technology Act grant of $400 from the California State Library for a Project Read outreach brochure. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $23,765 from the California State Library to fund the Families for Literacy Program and a Library Services and Technology Act grant in the amount of $400. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVD, that the City Council hereby authorizes an amendment to the City's 2002-2003 Operating Budget (03-11) to add $23,765 to fund the Families for Literacy Program and to add $400 to fund the Project Read's outreach brochure. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of November 2002 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Raymond L. Green and Karyl Matsumoto, Mayor Pro Tern Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Eugene R. Mullin NOES: NOne. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: ity Clerk
