A RESOLUTION ORDERING FORMATION OF MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
CABOT, CABOT & FORBES INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT NO. 2
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS, on June 28, 1965, this Council adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 4236, as subsequently amended,
wherein said Council did declare its intention, pursuant to
Section lOl08 of the Streets and Highways Code, to form the
area of the assessment district created pursuant to said
Resolution of Intention as a maintenance district;
WHEREAS, said Council did declare in said Resolution
of Intention its intention to order that the expenses of
maintaining and operating the reclamation work described
therein, including the cost of necessary repairs, replace-
ments, fuel, power, electric current, care, supervision and
any and all other items necessary for the proper maintenance
and operation thereof, shall be assessed wholly upon the
real property lying within the district, as hereinafter
described, and that the amounts so assessed were to be levied
and collected in the same manner and by the same officers as
taxes for City purposes are levied and collected;
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed formation of said mainte-
nance district were duly and regularly posted, mailed and
published in the time, form andmanner required by law, all
as evidenced by the affidavits on file in the office of the
City Clerk;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require
and a maintenance district is hereby formed for the mainte-
nance and operation of the reclamation improvements now exist-
ing or hereafter to be constructed in said district and of
benefit to said maintenance district but not of benefit to
the City as a whole~ which district said Council determines
will be the district benefited by said maintenance and
operation.
2. That said district be, and it is hereby~ desig-
nated "Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Industrial Park Unit No. R
Maintenance District", by which name it shall hereafter be
referred in all subsequent proceedings including proceedings
for the levy and collection of taxes, and that amounts so
assessed shall be levied and collected in the same manner
and by the same officers as taxes for City purposes are
levied and collected.
3. That the District and the boundaries thereof bene-
fited and to be assessed for the maintenance and operation
of the improvements so described~ are situate in the City of
South San Francisco, County of San Mateo~ State of California~
and are more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and ~de a part hereof by reference.
4. That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy
of this Resolution in the office of the County Assessor of
the County of San Mateo~ and that said County Assessor shall
hereafter~ in making up the City assessment roll~ segregate
the property included within said District on the assessment
roll under the designation contained in this Resolution~ all
as required by Section 5829 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California.
5. That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy
of this Resolution and the map or plat indicating the bounda-
ries of said District with the State Board of Equalization
and said County Assessor, as required by Section 5~900~ et
seq. of the Government Code of the State of California.
