HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 4703-1967 RESOLUTION NO. 4703 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REQUESTING CONNECTION FROM SOUTH AIRPORT BOULEVARD TO ROUTE 186. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, that WHEREAS, the Highway Commission did adopt Route 186 through San Bruno, on January 23, 1963; and WHEREAS, access to the San Francisco International Airport is of vital importance and of county-wide interest, and therefore, the greatest benefit of Freeway 186 will be realized when it is extended to South Airport Boulevard; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City Council of the City of South San Francisco shall, and does hereby, request the California High- way Commission of the State of California to approve a connection between Route 186 and South Airport Boulevard. 2. That said City Council in making said request anticipates modification of the plan to provide a northbound on ramp to Bayshore Freeway from the extension between the Airport and Bayshore Boulevard and provisions in the highway agreement for adequate modification and repair of South Airport Boulevard to accomodate the traffic channelled into said area by Route 186, said modifications and repair to be at no cost to the City of South San Francisco. 3. A copy of this R~solution be transmitted to the California State Highway Commission, and Mr. Alan S. Hart, District Engineer, Division of Highways. . . . . I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City meeting held on the by the following vote: AYES, COb~CILMEN of South San Francisco, at a 3rd day of NOES, " ABSENT, " regular July , 1967 , Patrick E.
