CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT TO SAK CONSTRUCTION OF CA, LP OF
O'FALLON, MISSOURI, FOR THE PARADISE VALLEY
STORM DRAIN REPAIR PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $164,090
WHEREAS, staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for the Paradise Valley Storm Drain
Repair Project ( "Project ") and on August 30, 2011, received one (1) valid bid in response; and
WHEREAS, SAK Construction of CA, LP of 0' Fallon, Missouri, was the lowest
responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the construction contract to SAK Construction
of CA, LP ( "SAK Construction ") of 0' Fallon, Missouri, in the amount of $164,090; and
WHEREAS, the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2011 -2012
Capital Improvement Program ( "CIP ") and sufficient funds are available to cover the Project
cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby awards the construction contract for the Paradise Valley
Storm Drain Repair Project to SAK Construction of CA, LP of O'Fallon, Missouri, in an
amount not to exceed $164,090, conditioned on SAK Construction's timely execution of the
Project contract and submission of all required documents, including but not limited to, executed
bonds, certificates of insurance, and endorsements, in accordance with the Project documents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the
documents on behalf of the City Council upon timely submission by SAK Construction's signed
contract and all other documents, subject to approval by the City Attorney.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14` day of
September 2011 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto,
Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mayor Kevin Mullin
