HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 4742-1967RESOLUTION NO. ~742 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE (V-32) FOR LOT 5, BLOCK 11, SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO INDUSTRIAL PARK NO. 2-E. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: WHEREAS, the City Council on hearing duly noticed, after appeal from Planning Commission grant of Variance V-32, dated August 14, 1967, received and duly considered the report of the determination and action of the Planning Commission, findings, and various documents, communications and oral pre- 'sentations, each and all of which have been made a part of the record in this proceeding, and WHEREAS, the Council has duly considered the proposed variance and its effects, NOW, THEREFORE: 1. The Council does find as follows: A. The name of the applicant, shown as Airland Freight, Inc., is in fact Airland Freight Con- solidators, Inc., a California corporation, lessees of Lynn C. Fritz and Arthur J. Fritz, owners of the subject parcel; B. That there are exceptional or extraordinary cir- cumstances or conditions applying to the land, building or use referred to in the application, which circumstances or conditions do not apply generally to land, buildings or uses in the same district; C. That the granting of the application is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of substantial property rights of. the petitioner; ® D. That the granting of the application will not, under the circumstances of the particular case, materially affect adversely the health or safety of persons residing or working in the neighbor- hood of the property of the applicant and will not, under the circumstances of the particular case, be materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in said neighborhood; E. That the variance will be in harmony with the purposes of Ordinance 353 as amended (Zoning Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco). The Council orders that: A. The Variance Order V-32 made by the Planning Commission on August 14, 1967, and the applica- tion therefor be amended on its face to show the name of the applicant as Airland Freight Con- solidators, Inc., a California corporation; B. The grant of the Variance (V-32) by the Planning Commission on August 14, 1967, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and the City Planner, is approved; C. The City Council designates the following additional condition: That sufficient off-street parking be maintained to accommodate trucks and other vehicles using or serving the facility and the trucks and vehicles of employees so that on- street parking of the trucks and commercial vehicles using or serving the facility will be unnecessary. ® I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council o£ the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of September by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN , 1967 , Patrick E. Ahern, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca, and Guido J. Rozzi. NOES," Frmnk J. Bertucelli. ABSENT, " None. me
