HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 4845-1968RESOLUTION NO. 4845 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRANT OF A USE PERMIT FOR A DEPARTMENT STORE ON THE SOUTHEASTERLY SIDE OF ARROYO DRIVE OPPOSITE ALTA LOMA DRIVE IN THE C-1 DISTRICT AS SET FORTH IN UP-75 AND DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: WHEREAS, the Council has duly considered on appeal UP-75 as granted by the Planning Commission March 25, 1968, and considered additional qualifications and conditions concern- ing parking which are more particularly hereinafter set forth, and WHEREAS, the Council finds and determines that said use if made in accordance with the terms and conditions of UP-75 as issued by the Planning Commission and additional conditions and qualifications as hereinafter set forth will not be detri- mental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort and general welfare of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such proposed use and will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered that the following additional qualifications and conditions are hereby designated for UP-75 and said UP-75 shall stand granted as granted by the Planning Commission on March 25, 1968, in accordance with the terms and conditions by said Commission imposed and with the additional qualifications and conditions as hereinafter set forth: 1. Permittees provide a joint entry between the parking beneath the U.S.E. structure and the parking lot in the exist- ing commercial area. 2. Permittees obtain a license agreement from the Bank of America to use the Bank of America parking lot when said -1- lot is not being used for Bank of American purposes. 3. The owners of QFI and other properties (Select Income Properties) file letters with the City establishing the fact that they have evaluated the parking demands and have determined that the location of the department store as provided for in UP-75 will not adversely affect their parking area and they do further waive any objection to the grant of the Use Permit and will within ninety (90) days after completion of construction of U.S.E. redesign the existing parking lot in accordance with the plan entitled, "New Parking Plan Buri Burl Shopping Center", dated 5-13-68, prepared by LLoyd Gartner, Architect (A.I.A.).
