A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINi£NG THAT THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS IS REQUIRED
FOR THE SAFETY OF PUPILS ATTENDING SCHOOLS
EL CANINO REAL SIDEWALK PROJECT
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
'RESOLVED, by the City Council of the city of South
San Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS, the State of California proposes to undertake
the widening and improving of E1 Camino Real within the City
limits of the City of South San Francisco, and the City is
charged with the responsibility of paying the costs of cer-
tain improvements, including sidewalks and appurtenant and
auxiliary curb and gutter facilities;
WHEREAS, sidewalks already exist in certain portions of
E1 Camino Real between Noor Avenue and Second Street, and
this Council proposes to.cause the completion of said side-
walk facilities within said area by appropriate special
assessment and assessment bond proceedings in order to com-
plete said sidewalk network as part of the general improve-
ment program proposed by the State;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED, and ORDERED,
as follows:
1. That the construction of Portland cement concrete
sidewalks, together with appurtenant and auxiliary curb and
gutter facilities necessary to complete and support same on
E1Camino Real from Noor Avenue to Second Street are required
for the safety of pupils attending the South San Francisco
High School. and the Church of St. Veronica's Parochial School
in the immediate vicinity of said proposed sidewalk project.
2. ~That the provisions of Division 4 of the Streets
and Highways Code shall not apply to the proceedings for the
construction of said sidewalks to be thereafter commenced.

duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held this 16th day of December, 1968, by the following
