A RESOLUTION GRANTING CONSENT OF THE CITY CiN3NCIL OF THE
CITY' OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO TO THE EXERCISE~ OF EXTRA-
TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR
THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
AND TO PROVIDE ~HAT THE ~COSTS SHALL BE ASSESSED UPON
THE... DISTRICT BENEFITED~ THEREBY, UNDER APPROPRIATE
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BoND ACTS ~.
TANFORAN AVENUE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS,~ the City CounCil of the City of San Bruno has
filed with this Council a certified copy of its Resolution
requesting consent .of this Council-to undertake appropriate
special assessment and'.assessment bond proceedings for the
acquisition and construction of public improvements and to

assess the cost thereof upon the lands described in said Reso-
lution;

WHEREAS, there has been filed with this Council a copy
of the form of Resolution of Intention to be~ used in said
,,
proceed .ings;
WHEREAS, a portion of said work to be done is'within the
incorporated territory of this City; however all of the. lands
to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof are with-
in the inCorporated territory within the City of San Bruno;
WHEREAS, said acquisitions and improvements to be made
are of such a character that they will directly and peculiarly
·
affect Property not only within the boundaries of the City of
South San Francisco but also the incorporated territory within
this city, and the purposes sought to be accomplished can best
be accomplished by a single comprehensive scheme of work; and

WHEREAS, the public interestj $0nvenience and necessity
will be served by the making of said acquisitions and improve-
men ts;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
I. That consent be, and the Same is hereby, granted to
the City of San Bruno to construct said public improvements as
described in the Resolution Requesting Consent, and to make
such changes and modifica'tions therein as may be proper or ad-
visable in the manner provided by law.
2. That consent be, and the same is hereby, granted to
,
said City of San Bruno to open all such public streets as are
required for the installation of said public improvements.
Ail work pertaining to said project shall be done under the d'i-
rection of the City Engineer of the City of san Bruno and to
the satisfactio~ of the City Engineer of this City, and in con-
fortuity with good engineering practice. Said Ci'ty Engineer of
the City of San Bruno shall require of the contractor that all
of the provisions of the specifications are complied with by
the contractor to the end that no greater'amount of ditches are
open at any time ~than is necessary, that they shall be adequate-
ly lighted and barricaded,~and that they shall be promptly back-
filled, and that the pavement shall be restored with materials
of like quality and character as those existing therein at the
time of such work and to its former condition and state of~

usefulness as nearly as may be.
3. That the City Engineer of this City be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to carry out the pr~Visions of
this Resolution.
4. That the .form of Resolution of In,tention submitted
to this Council be, and the same is hereby, approved.
5. That the City .Clerk of this City be, and. he is here-
by, directed to file With the City Clerk of the City of San
Bruno a certified copy of this Resolution.

at a regular meeting held this 6th day of Sanuary, 1969, by the following
