CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING POSITIVE .INTEREST
IN FLOOD INSURANCE COVERAGE PURSUANT TO
'NAT'I'0NAL'FL0'0DI'NS'JRANCE ~CT''0'F '1'9'6'8'.''
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
1. The Council hereby expresses a positive interest
in securing Flood Insurance Coverage under the National Flood
Insurance Act of 1968, 42 USC 4001-4127.
2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized
to file the necessary documents, reports and supporting data
and do any and all acts necessary to qualify the City of
South San Francisco for said flood insurance coverage,~ including
but not limited to the following:
A) Establish that there is a recognized public need
for flood insurance
B) Indicate the ext=_nt if any, to which public and
private flood Plain management activities have been
instituted
C) Indicate a willingness to take such other official
action as may be necessary to carry out the objectives
of 'the program
D) Transmit the evidence of positive interest in obtain-
ing flood insurance ~_overage to the Federal Insurance
Administrator, Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment, 451 Seventh Street, Southwest. Washington, D.C.,
~. 20410.
I hereby certify tha~ the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a '' regular
