HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5188-1969RESOLUTION NO. 5188 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY'S CONSENT TO CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES (WESTBOROUGH BOULEVARD STREET AND HIGHWAYS EASEMENT) AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO AUTHOR IZE THE CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES AND THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO CONSENT THERETO. BE IT RESOLVED by the 2ity Council of the City of South San Francisco that: WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco on January 20, 1969, by Resolution 5032 accepted parcels of real property from Caesar Callan Homes, Inc., a California corporation, for street and highway purDoses (Westborough Boulevard), which parcels 'are more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto, and WHEREAS, the City Cour.cil of said City desires to authorize the City Attorney to consent to the cancellation of taxes pursuant to Section 4986.2 of the Revenue and Tax- ation Code of the State of California, and, further, requests the Board of Supervisors for the County of San Mateo to authorize cancellation of 2ounty taxes and the District Attorney of said County to consent thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT: (1) The City Attorney of the City of South San Francisco is authorized to consent to cancellation of taxes on those parcels of real property scquired for public purposes, to wit' Street and highway purposes (Westborough Boulevard), which parcels are more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto. (2) That this Resolution be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo and the District Attorney of the County of San Mateo, and be deemed a request to said Board of Supervisors and District Attorney to author- ize and consent, respectively, to cancellation of taxes on said parcels of real property. - 1 - I hereby certify that t~,e foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a held this 6th day of October following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN NOES, " ABSENT, " regular meeting , 19 69 , by the Frank J.
