CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENIING CHIEF JOHN FABBRI.
WHEREAS, John Fabbri has dedicated nineteen years of
service to the law enforcement program in South San Francisco,
and effectively led that prcgram as Chief of Police since
1960, and
WHEREAS, he has generated a deep respect for law enforce-
ment service as well as for his individual talent and dedication
by the manner in which he has administered that office and
contributed to the improvement of law enforcement in the City,
State and Nation through the following activities:
A prime worker in President Lyndon Johnson's Committee
on Juvenile Delinquency and Youth Crime.
Service on survey teams as a police-management consultant
for several departments, including New York City and
Puerto Rico while with the International Association of
Chiefs of Police.
Consultant to the President's Commission on Law Enforce-
ment and Administration of Justice, Police Task Force and
also on similar projects involving consumer frauds and
white-collar rackets.
Consultant Coordinator with the Law Enforcement Assistance
Administration in the Department of Justice, aiding the
implementation of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe
Street Acts of 1968.
Chairman of the Committee on Crime Reporting and Criminal
Statistics for the peace Officers' Association.
Commissioner for the Peace Officers' Standards and Train-
ing Commission for the State of California.
Third Vice President of the FBI Academy Associates.
Commissioner for six years for the San Mateo County
Juvenile Justice Commission.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to commend him therefor
and by this Resolution permanently record in official records
an expression of appreciation for his contributions to the
welfare of this City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby commend
Chief John Fabbri for his contribution to the law enforcement
service of South San Francisco the State of California and
the United States of America and does by this Resolution express
and permanently record in official records this expression of
appreciation for his contribation to the welfare of South San
Francis co.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regul&r meeting
held on the 6th day of October , 1969, by
the following vote:
AYES, COUNCILMEN Frank J. Bertucelli, Patrick E. Ahem, F. Frank
Mammini, Andrew Rocca, and Warren 'Steinka~.
NOES, " None.
