H SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZING THE WORK AND CALLING BIOS FOR INTERIOR PAINTINS - CENTRAL FIRE STATION. RESOLVED by the City Council-of the City of South San Francisco that , WHEREAS, specifications providing for'certain improve- ment work have been submitted, which specifications are entitled' INTERIOR PAINTING - CENTRAL FIRE STATION and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve said specifications, authorize t'ne work and call for sealed proposals; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS i~EREBY ORDERED that- 1. The specifications hereinbefore named and identi- fied are hereby approved an~ the work therein provided is hereby authorized, and said specifications are referred to and by this reference made a part hereof the same. as if recited herein verbatim. 2. The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to publish by two (2) consecutive inSertions in the "Enter- prise-Journal," a newspaper published, and circulated in said City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or-bids for said work in accordance with the specifications hereinbefore named and identified and on file in the Office of the City Clerk, the first of which publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the ;ime fixed for opening bids. A copy of said notice entitled "Notice to Bidders" is attached hereto and referred to and '~y this reference made a part hereof as if set forth verbatim herein. Ail proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check, payable to the order of the City of South San Francisco, in an amount equal to not less than ten per cent (10%) of the bid figure, or by a bond in said amount I · drawn in favor of said City and executed by a corporate surety. Said check shall be forfeited by bidder, or said bond shall become payable to said City in case the lowest responsible bidder (or bidCeCs) depositing the same eons' -~ not, within the time set forth in said ., specifications, enter into a contract with said City, the faithful performance of which shall be guaranteed by an undertaking in the amount cf One hundred per cent (100%) of the sum bid, said undertaking being that of a corporate surety satisfactorY to said City Council, and which con- tract shall be accompanied by a labor and materials bond of a corporate surety, alsc in a sum equal to one hundred · per cent (100%) of the amount of said bid, as required by the provisions of Title I, Division 5, Chapter 3, of the Government Code of the State of California. In case of a forfeiture, as provided for in the preceding sentence, the defaulting bidder shall be liable to said City for any. additional expense to which ig may reasonably be put zn connection with obtaining f~ll and complete performance of the particular work of improvemen~ with which this Notice to Bidders is concerned. 3.
