HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5240-1970 RESOLUTION .qO. 5240 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REQUESTING COUNTY CLERK OF SAN MATE0 COUNTY TC RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo shall be~ and is hereby~ requested to permit the County Clerk of said County to render the services hereinafter specified relating to the conduct of the general municipal election to be held within Said City on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1970. 2. That the election s~.rvices requested by said City in connection with the holding and conducting of said election are more particularly set forth ~n Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein the same as though fully set forth at length. 3. That said City shall, and does hereby accept and agree to comply with the terms and conditions of the performance of said election services, and the payments therefor~ as set forth in Exhibit "A ". 4. The County Clerk is further authorized and delegated to perform the duties specified in Exhibit "A" for the purpose of the general municipal election to be held within the City of South San Francisco on Tuesdays the 14th day of April, 1970. Furnishing precinct indexes, by consolidated precinct, to the affidavits of registration of eligible voters. 2. Preparation and addressing of polling place notices for mailing to eligible voters. 3. Furnishing paper stock for polling place notices that are being addressed for mailing to eligible voters. 4. Inserting in envelopes, as supplied by the City, the election .matter to be mailed to eligible voters. 5. Services required to ready voting machines ,for use at said election, excluding voting machine ballot label preparation and printing cost and excluding cost of drayage to and from polling places. 6. Services required to unseal the voting machines and to take off and record votes cast and reseal voting machines prior to the official c~nvass by the City. City Clerk will be furnished a Certificate by County Clerk for use in the official canvass procedure. 7. Prepare ballot nopy for official absentee punch- card ballots, from certified data supplied by City. Submit to printer, designated Dy City (printer to be qualified) check proof, obtain certification from City as to correctness and resubmit to printer~ for actual printing. 8. Prepare copy fcr official voting machine labels from certified data supplied by City. Submit to printer, desig- nated by City (printer to be qualified), check proof, obtain certification from ~ity as to correctness and resubmit to printer for actual prir. ting. 9. Prepare ballot copy for voting machine sample ballots from certified data supplied by City. Submit to printer, designated by City (printer to be qualified) check proof, obtain certification from City as to correct- ness and resubmit to printer for actual printing. 10. County will furnish official punchcards to printer for absentee ballots. 11. To prepare rou~ing schedule for delivery of voting machines by the carrier selected by the City. 12. Equipment repair will be made, if found to be neces- sary, after inspection at the time equipment is returned to storage.
