A RESOLUTION DESCRIBING PROPOSED MODIFICATION IN THE
BOUNDARIES OF ASSESSMEFT DISTRICT AND OF INTENTION
TO ORDER A MODIFICATIOn' IN SAID BOUNDARIES AND OF
INTENTION TO ORDER WITHDRAWAL OF TERRITORY FROM AND
TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO THE CABOT, CABOT & FORBES
INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT NO. 2 MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
CABOT, CABOT & FORBEs _-NDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT NO. 2

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS, on January L?, 1966, this Council adopted its
Resolution No. 4356, A Resolution Describing Proposed Bounda-
ries of Assessment District, Directing Filing of Map and
·
Directing Recordation of Notice of Assessment, Cabot, Cabot &
Forbes Industrial Park Unit No. 2, wherein the boundaries of
the proposed assessment district to be formed pursuant to
Resolution of Intention No. 4236, adopted by said Council on
June 28, 1965, were described by reference to a map on file
in the office of the City Clerk;
WHEREAS, said map, as approved by said Council, was filed
in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County within
fifteen (15) days after adoption of said resolution, as.required
by law;
WHEREAS, on August 3~ 1964, this Council adopted its
Resolution'No. 4013, A Resolution Describing Proposed Bounda-
ries of Assessment Distric~ and Directing Recordation of Notice
of~'Assessment, Cabot, Cabo~ & Forbes Industrial Park Unit No. l,
wherein the boundaries of ~he proposed assessment district to
be formed pursuant to ResoLution of Intention No. 3939, adopted
by said Council on May 18, 1964, were described by reference to
a map on file in the office of the City Clerk;
WHEREAS, said map, as approved by Said Council, was filed
in the office of the County Clerk of San Mateo County within ..
fifteen (15) days after ad,)ption of said resolution, as required
by law;
WHEREAS~ after the f~ling of each of said maps in the
offices of the County Recorder and County Clerk, respectively,
final subdivision maps of property in each of said assessment
districts were duly recorded, and certain lots in said subdivi-
sions are partially within each of said districts;
WHEREAS, in order to remedy this situation, it is neces-
sary to modify the boundaries of each~of said districts to
conform to subdivision lot lines;
WHEREAS, the Engineer of Work has prepared a revised map
of the assessment district for Cabot, Cabot &~Forbes Industrial
Park Unit No. 2 with the assessment district boundary conform-
ing to lot lines;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. The proposed modification in the boundaries of the
assessment district is hereby described by reference to the
revised map of the assessment district, identified as "Proposed
Modified Boundaries of Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Industrial Park
Unit No. 2 Assessment District, Bond Series 68, Modification
No 3" dated June, 1969
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file said revised
map with the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo forth-
with.
3. This Council hereby expresses its intention to order
the said modification in said boundaries at its first meeting
held at least ten days after the filing of said revised map in
the office of'the County Recorder.
4. That it is the intention of the Council to order the
withdrawal of the territory proposed to be removed from said
assessment district from, &nd to annex the territory proposed
to be added to said assess~ent district to, the Cabot, Cabot &
Forbes Industrial Park Unit No. 2 Maintenance District, duly
formed by Resolution No. 4L21, A Resolution Ordering Formation
of Maintenance District, Cabot, Cabot & Forbes Industrial Pa. rk
Unit No. 2, adopted March 21, 1966, and that Monday, the 2nd
day of March, 1970, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the
Council Chambers, City HaiL, South San Francisco, California,
is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where the
Council will hold a public hearing on the question'of the with-
drawal of said territory from and annexation of said property
to said maintenance district and determine whether said prop-.
arty will or will not be benefited by remaining within or by
being annexed to the' district.
5. The boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed
are described as that portion of the composite and consolidated
area of land described in both Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B"
(hereto attached and incorporated herein by reference) which
is not now within the boundaries of said maintenance district;
the boundaries of the territory proposed to be withdrawn are
desCribed as that portion of the existing maintenance district
which is not included within the composite and consolidated area
of land described in said Exhibits.
6. A notice of such hearing shall be published once a
week for two successive weeks in the Enterprise-Journal, a
daily newspaper printed, p~blished, and circulated in the City
and deemed most likely to give notice to the inhabitants of
the district of the proposed annexation and withdrawal. Copies
of the notice also shall be posted at least ten days prior to
the date fixed for the hearing inthree conspicuous places
within that portion of the maintenance district sought to be
withdrawn, and within the territory proposed to be annexed,
and in three conspicuous places within the remaining portion of
the district. Notice shall also be given by mail to each
owner whose name and address appears on the last equalized ~
assessment roll and who owns real property within the bounda-
ries of the territory sought to be annexed, said mailing to be
at least 15 days prior to the date fixed for said hearing.
7. Any person interested may appear at the hearing and
object to the annexation or withdrawal of said portion from,
or annexation of said territory to, the maintenance district,
or may object to the continuance of the remaining territory as
a maintenance district. The Council shall consider and pass
upon all objections and if it finds that the portion of the
district sought to be withdrawn will not be benefited by remain-
ing Within the maintenance district, and that the territory
proposed to be annexed will be benefited by annexation, and
that the remaining territory not sought to be withdrawn will
be benefited 'by continuing as a maintenance district, then it
shall order such withdrawal and annexation, respectively, and
the continuance of the remaining territory as a maintenance
district.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City C~uncil of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held this 2nd day of February, 1970, by the following
