HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5274-1970 RESOLUTION NO. 5274 A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINA.RY DETERMINATION UNDER DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS· AND HIGHWAYS CODE SOUTH MAPLE AVENUE - SOUTH CANAL STREET RELIEF PUMP AND STORM DRAINAGE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that 1. The public interest, convenience and necessity require, and that it is the intention of this Council to undertake cer- tain acquisitions and improvements within said City and to assess the cost thereof on lands benefited thereby, said acqui- sitions and improvements being .lescribed as follows: a) The construction of r~lnforced concrete storm drainage pipes, catch basins, manholes and appurtenances in South Maple Avenue fr~m South Canal Street southerly about 750 feet and in South Canal Street from a point about 300 feet westerly of the westerly line of South Maple Avenue to South Linden Avenue, and in South Linden Avenue from So~th Canal Street southerly about 160 feet. b) The construction of a storm drainage relief pump station complete with concrete work, street excavation, backfill, pumps, and ~.lectrical work at the southeast corner of South Canal Street and South Maple Avenue, and a reinforced concrete force main from said pump station across South ~anal Street to Colma Creek. o) The acquisition of all lands and easements and the construction of all work auxiliary to any of the above and necessary to complete the same. 2. Reference is hereby made to the map or plat showing the general nature, location ar.d extent of said acquisitions and improvements for a further description of said work and for all particulars relating thereto, ~ich map or plat is on file in the office of the City Clerk and open to public inspection. 3. The costs thereof will be assessed upon a district benefited thereby, the exterior boundaries of which are as shown on a map thereof on file in the office of the City Clerk identi- fied as "Proposed Boundary of South Maple Avenue - South Canal Street Relief Pump and Storm Drainage Assessment District", to which reference is hereby made for further particulars. 4. That proceedings for said acquisitions and improve- ments shall be conducted pursuar~t to Division 4 oF the Streets and Highways Code (the Special Assessment Investigation, Limita- tion and Majority Protest Act of 19~l) and the Municipal Improve- ment Act of 19lB, and bonds shall be issued pursuant to the Improvement Bond Act of 1915. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 6th day of April, 1970, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCIL~tEN Frank J.
