CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS APPORTION
FUNDS FOR THE TOPICS PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, legislation which provides for implementation
of the Federal Government's "TOPICS" program in California
became effective November 10, 1969; and
WHEREAS, Federal funds ~vailable to the State and to
local government under this program are to be apportioned
to local agencies for expenditure within urban areas; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Public Works has requested
the City of South San Francisco to advise them of its apportion-
ment of 1969-70 fiscal year funds prior to June 30, 1970,
and to indicate how these funds will be utilized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco requests that the City of South
San Francisco be allowed to ~ccumulate funds and combine them
with other fiscal years' apportionments for use by the City
of South San Francisco in financing a more substantive project;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said funds may be expended
by the City of South San Francisco for study and improvement
projects in the implementation of a "TOPICS" program.
