A RESOLUTION OF PREL-MINARY DETERMINATION UNDER
DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
IMPROVEMENT OF 12 MILE CREEK ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco, California, as follows:

That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require and that it Is the inoenti°n of this Council to under-
take certain acquisitions and improvements within said City and
to assess the cost thereof on lands benefited thereby, said
acquisitions and improvements being described as follows:
The construction of a concrete box drainage culvert
in the existing surface drainage ditch from near
the intersection of West Orange Avenue and Camaritas
Avenue easterly to and across E1 Camino Real to near
the southwesterly llne of the old Market Street
Railway right-of-way, the confining, stabilizing,
and lining of said existing surface drainage ditch
across said right-o-~-way, the construction of a
concrete box drainage culvert from .the northeast-
erly end of said ditch near the northeasterly line
of said right-of-way northeasterly across the
Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and about
.50 feet beyond, and the confining, stabilizing,
and lining of said existing surface drainage ditch
from the. northeasterly terminus of said culvert
continuing easterly to Colma Creek, together with
the acquisition of all lands and easements necessa~ry
therefor.
The acquisition of all lands and easements and the
construction of all ~work auxiliary to any of the
above and necessary to complete the same.
2. That reference is hereby made 'to the map ~or plat
showing the general nature, location and extent of said acqui-
sitions and improvements for a further description of said
work and for all particulars relating thereto, which map or
plat is on file in the office of the City Clerk and open to
public inspection.
B. That the City of So'Ath San Francisco will contribute
one-third of the cost of said acquisitions and improvements
and expenses incidental thereto in areas that traVerse
properties outside of the areas of public streets and highways,
and one-hundred percent (100%) of the cost thereof in City
streets; the State of California will contribute the cost
thereof in E1 Camino Real; and the balance of the costs there-~
of will be assessed against t.be properties benefited thereby
and fronting thereon and more particularly shown on a map
thereof on file in the office of the City Clerk, which indi-
cates by a boundary line the extent of the territory included
in the proposed district and ~hich shall govern for all details
as to the extent of the assessment district.
4. That proceedings for said acquisitions and improve-
ments shall be conducted purs'Aant to Division ~ of the Streets
and Highways Code (the Special Assessment Investigation,
Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 19B1) and the Municipal
Improvement Act of 19lB, and bonds shall be issued pursuant
to the Improvement Bond Act of 1915.
