CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RULE 11.08 OF RESOLUTION
NO. 3486 ENTITLED "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
ADOPTING PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS."
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that Rule 11.08, subsections (a) and (b) as
set forth in Resolution No. 3L86, passed June 4, 1962, as
amended, is hereby further amended to read:
11.08 HOLIDAYS
(a) Ail municipal offices except for the police, fire, and
sanitation departments ar.d library, and such other
departments as designated by the City Council or City
Manager, shall be closed on the following legal holidays:
New Year' s Day, Lincoln' s Birthday, Washington' s Birthday,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Admission Day, Labor
Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Veterans' Day, Christmas,
Good Friday from twelve r,oon until the hour of three
post meridian.
(b) When a holiday designated in subsection (a) above falls
on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding
Friday, and when such holiday falls on a Sunday, it
shall be observed on the following Monday.
