CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ASSURING COMPLIANCE WITH THE
REQUIREMENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS RELAT-
ING TO LAND USE AND CONTROL MEASURES IN
AREAS HAVING SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco has prepared and submitted an application for
flood insurance to the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, and
WHEREAS, said Department has indicated a requirement
for further assurances of future compliance to the regula-
tions relating to adequate land use and control measures
with effective enforcement provisions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco shall adopt prior to December 31,
1971, and maintain in force for areas having special flood
hazards, certain flood plain megulations which would prevent
construction in such areas that does not meet certain stand-
ards and criteria, also to be established prior to December 31,
1971, designed to eliminate flooding and flood hazards to said
new construction.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting
held on the 18th day of ~ay , 19 70, by
the following vote:
AYES, COUNCILMEN Patrick E. Ahe_~n, Frank J. Bertucel Ii, William A.
Borba, F. Frank Mammini and Warren Steinkamp
