HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5342-1970 RESOLUT-0N NO. .5342 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTH0]IIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO CONSENT TO CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED FOR PUBLIC USE AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO AUTHORIZE CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES AND THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO CONSENT THERETO. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco acquired a certain parcel of real property for public purposes, to wit: street and highway purposes, and said parcel is hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City desires to author- ize the City Attorney to consent to the cancellation of taxes pursuant to Section 4986.2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California, and, further, requests the Board of Supervisors for the County of San Mateo to authorize cancel- lation of County taxes and the District Attorney of said County to consent thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that: (1) The City Attorney of the City of South San Francisco is authorized to consent ~o cancellation of taxes on that parcel of real property acquired for public purposes, to wit: Assessor's Parcel No. 014-150-205, described as .22 acres more or less, being a portion of Parcel 2, Assessor's Map of South San Francisco 8, City of South San Francisco. (2) That this Resolution be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo and the District Attorney of the County of San Mateo, and be deemed a request to said Board of Supervisors and District. Attorney to author- ize and consent, respectively, to cancellation of taxes on said parcel of real property. · I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and &dopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a held on the 15th day of the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN NOES , " ABSENT, " June regular meeting , 19 70 , by Patrick E.
