HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5352-1970RESOLUTIOn' NO. 5352 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON THE 15TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 29?0, DESIGNATING AND CONSOLIDATING PRECINCTS, DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT ELECTION OFFICERS AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: 1. For the purpose of holding a special municipal election in said City on the 15th day of September, 1970~ said City be and it is hereby divided into fourteen (14) election precincts designated as Voting Precincts 1, 2~ 3, 4, 5~ 6, ?, 8, 9, 10, 11~ 12, 13 and 14. 2. The said Voting Precincts are set forth in Column I of the following Table of Precincts and shall contain the territory of the precincts or combination of precincts set opposite thereto in Column II of said Table, which are the County precincts established by that certain Resolution No. 26907 adopted September 23, 1969, entitled "A Resolution and Order Dividing the County of San Mateo, California, into Election Precincts and establishing Boundaries Thereof", and that certain Resolution No. 27218 adopted January 6, 1970, entitled "A Resolution and Crder Dividing a Portion of the County of San Mateo, California, into Election Precincts and Establishing Boundaries Thereof." The polling place for each of said precincts is designated in Column III. of said Table. The use of voting machines, same having been approved by the State Commission of Voting Machines, and approved and adopted by the County of Sar. Mateo, is hereby approved for said election, and one machine in complete working order shall be placed in the polling place of each precinct, said polling places to be opened at 7:00 a.m. and kept open until 8:00 p.m. of said date when said polling places shall be closed. 4. The officers shall be compensated as follows: Inspector - the sum of $25.00 Judge - the sum of $20.00 5. The City Clerk shall provide or cause to be provided all supplies and services and equipment and do all acts neces- sary to conduct said electicn as provided for in the Elections Code and other related laws, including those services contracted for with the County of San F_ateo by Resolution No. 5353 of the Ci-ty of South San Francisco. 6. The City Clerk shall give notice of the aforesaid designation of election officers and polling places by publica- tion in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal as required by law.
