CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT MANAGER AS THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE ON THE
SAN MATEO COUNTY HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the San Mateo County HOME Consortium was created for the purpose of
applying for and securing federal HOME program funding; and
WHEREAS, the San Mateo County HOME Consortium Housing and Community
Development Committee ( "HCD Committee ") reviews all grant applications on behalf of the San
Mateo County Board of Supervisors ("Board") and makes funding recommendations to the Board for
County Community Development Block Grants and HOME funds; and
WHEREAS, the City, as a participating jurisdiction and San Mateo County HOME
Consortium member, is allotted one representative on the HCD Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Manager has served as the designated City
representative on the HCD Committee since the inception of the Consortium; and
WHEREAS, every six years the City must re- designate its representative, and staff
recommends that the Housing and Redevelopment Manager be designated as the City's
representative.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City hereby designates the Housing and Redevelopment Manager as the City's
authorized representative on the San Mateo County Housing and Community Development
Committee.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14 day of
December, 2011 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Karyl Matsumoto, and Kevin Mullin,
Vice Mayor Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Richard A. Garbarino
NOES: None

ABSENT: None
