HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 146-2011 RESOLUTION NO. 146 -2011 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL DESIGN FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF PARADISE VALLEY POCKET PARK AND AMENDING THE 2011 -2012 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $400,000 TO COMPLETE THE WORK WHEREAS, Paradise Valley pocket park has undergone extensive repairs within the last year and is also currently due for improvements involving its irrigation system, trees, and landscapes; and, WHEREAS, staff requested Callander Associates Landscape Architecture ( "Callander ") to prepare a conceptual plan and a refined cost estimate to be presented to the public at the August and December 2011 Parks and Recreation Commission meetings; and, WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission unanimously approved Callander's conceptual plan and recommends approving the final design for the reconstruction of Paradise Valley pocket park; and, WHEREAS, the approximate total cost of these improvements including Engineering staff costs will be $400,000, which will be funded through Zone IV Park In Lieu Fees by amending the current 2011 -2012 CIP budget. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby approves the final design for the restoration of Paradise Valley pocket park and amends the 2011 -2012 fiscal year Capital Improvement Program in the amount of $400,000 to accomplish the rebuilding of the park. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14 day of December, 2011 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Karyl Matsumoto, and Kevin Mullin, Vice Mayor Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Richard A.
