CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS
AND DECLARING RESULTS OF THE
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD
IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
ON SEPTEMBER 15, 1970.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held in the
City of South San Francisco on the 15th day of September,
1970 for the submission of a measure to the voters, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has duly presented to the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco all of the returns
of the votes cast at said Special municipal election, and
WHEREAS, said City Council has inspected and examined
the certificate and record of said returns;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco that said Council finds as
follows:
That Six Thousand One Hundred Sixty-three (6,163) votes
were cast in the City of South San Francisco by Six Thousand
Two Hundred Seventy-seven (6,277) ballots. The measure voted
upon read as follows:
Shall the Legislative Act of May 18, 1970,
which reads as follows: "That the City of
South San Francisco and County of San Mateo
proceed with construction of the overpass
at the intersection of West Orange and
Camaritas Avenue along with the construc-
tion of Westborough Boulevard," be adopted.
RESULTS OF SAID SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
That the record of votes cast at said special municipal
election in favor of said measure and against said measure,
as shown by the official count at each of the several pre-
cincts established throughout said City by said City Council
for the purpose of conductir.g said special municipal election
is as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto, the same being a
tabulation of the votes by precincts;

That the votes cast at said special municipal election
in favor of and against said measure by absentee ballot as
shown by the official count and included in the total set
forth in Exhibit A are as follows:

That the total of the votes east for and against said
measure at said special munLcipal election is as follows:
For 209 7
Against 406 6
That the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
hereby declares that the measure, which is hereinabove more
particularly set forth, was not adopted.
I hereby certify that ~he foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at an adjourned regular meeting
held on the 22nd day of September , 19 70 ,
by the following vote:
