WEST PARK 3 PARKS AND PARKWAYS
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT.
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS, said Council did on the 5th day of October
--
1970 , adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 5426 to order the
formation of a Parks and Parkways Maintenance District in said
City which is to be designated as WEST PARK 3
Parks and Parkways Maintenance District; and

WHEREAS, said Board did declare in said resolution its
intention to order that the expense of maintaining and operating
all parks and parkways composed of common green areas and land-
scaped parkways now existing or hereafter to be constructed in
said District, including the cost of necessary repairs, replace-
ments, replantings, fuel, power, electric current, water, care,
supervision, and any and all other items necessary for the
proper maintenance and operation thereof: shall be assessed
wholly upon the real property lying within the District above
~escribed, which District said Council determined would be the
District benefited by the m~intenance and operation of said
improvements: and that the ~mounts so assessed were to be levied
and collected in the same m-nnner and by -the same officers as
taxes for City purposes are levied and collected; and
WHEREAS, said resolution has been duly published, and
notices of its passage were duly posted and mailed, for the time
and in the manner and form provided by law, all as more particu-
larly appears from the affidavits thereof on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said City;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, AS FOLLOWS:
i ·
1. That the public interest and convenience require and a
maintenance district is hereby formed for the maintenance and
operation of all parks and parkways composed of common green
areas and landscaped parkways now existing or hereafter to be
constructed in said District, hereafter described, which District
said Council hereby determines will be the-district benefited by
the maintenance and operation of said improvements.
2. That said District be, and it is hereby, designated as
W~.~ P~k 3 Farks and Parkways Maintenance District"
by which name it shall hereafter be referred in all subsequent
proceedings including proceedings for the levy and collection
of taxes, and that said amounts so assessed shall be levied
and collected in the same manner and by the same officers as
taxes for city purposes are levied and collected.
3. That the District and the boundaries thereof benefited
are to be assessed for the maintenance and operation of the
improvements above described, are situate in the City of South
San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and are
more particularly describec in Exhi. bit "A" attached hereto and
by reference incorporated ?~erein.
4. That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy of
th'is resolution in the office of the County Assessor of said
County, and that said Councy Assessor shall hereafter, in
making up the County assessment roll, segregate the property
included within said District on the assessment roll under
the designation contained in this resolution, all as required
by Section 58.29 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.
5. That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy of
this resolution and a map or plat indicating' the boundaries of
said District with the Sta~e Board of Equalization and said
County Assessor, as required by Sections 54900 et seq. of the
Government Code of the State.of California.
