CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION DECLARING COUNCIL INITIATED
PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY DESIGNATED "CLAY AVENUE PARK
ANNEXATION" AND' GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING
THEREON.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco:
1. That pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, proceedings have been
initiated by the Council of the City of South San Francisco,
on its own motion, to annex to the City 'of South San Francisco
all that uninhabited territory situated in the County of San
Mateo, State of California, hereby designated as "Clay Avenue
Park Annexation,." which is described as follows:
COMMENCING at a point in the State Highway Right
of Way line, which point is also the northwest
corner of Lot 1, Block 26, Winston Manor No. 2
Subdivision, recorded on the 28th day of May,
1951, in Volume 33 of Maps at pages 28 and 29,
Records of San Mateo County; thence proceeding
N. 30° 51' 15" E. along the said right of way
line 173.98 feet; thence leaving said right of
way line N. 60° 08' 45" W., 52 feet; thence
N. 79° 38' 45" W., 50 feet; thence N. 57° 08'
45" W., 87 feet; thence S. 20° 51' 15" W., 9
feet; thence S. 2° 08' 45" E., 138 feet; thence
S. 23° 51' 15" W., 85 feet; thence S. 1° 21' 15"
W., 16 feet; thence S. 17° 21' 15" W., 55 feet;
thence S. 47° 25' 22" E., 12.85 feet; thence
South 70° 38' 45" E., .55 feet to the State High-
way Right of Way line having a bearing of
N. 36° 51' 15" E.; thence along said right of way
line N. 36° 51' 15" E.I, 110 feet to the point of
beginning.
ALL BEING a portion of Freeway Lease Area No.
6000, containing 33,250 square feet.
ALL BEARINGS AND DISTANCES BEING APPROXIMATE.
2. That the Council of the City of South San Francisco
desires to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of
South San Francisco for the following reasons: The territory
is contiguous to the City of South San Francisco and its
proposed annexation will contribute to and facilitate the

orderly, growth and development of both the City and the ter-
ritory proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and contribute
to the proper and orderly layout, design and construction of
public facilities both within the City and within the ter-
ritory proposed to be annexed and will add to the recreational
and park facilities of thel City.
3. That the San Mateo County Local Agency Formation
Commission did in session duly assembled on the 20th day of
May, 1970, approve the proposed annexation to the City of
South San Francisco.
4. That consent has been made and filed by the owners
of said parcel and the City of Daly City as required by law.
5. That Monday, the I st day of March ,
19 71 at the hour of 8'00 P M. in the Council Chambers in
the City. Hall of the City of South San Francisco, County of
San Mateo, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place
when and where a person owning property within the City who
does not own property in the territory to be annexed may
appear before the Council and show cause why such an unin-
habited territory should not be so annexed to the City of
South San Francisco· Such protest must be in writing, may be
filed at any time before the hour set for said hearing
objections to the proposed annexation, and shall state the
name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected,
and the description and the area of such property in general
terms.
6. The City Clerk of the City of South San Francisco is
hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolu-
tion to be published at least once in a newspaper of general
circulation published in the City, such publication to be
completed at least four (4) days prior to the date set for
the hearing.

7. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice
to be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled
~heme~o in ~he manner required by law.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting
held on the Ist day, of February , 19 71 ,
by the following vote:
