HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5547-1971RESOLUTION NO. 5547 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES IN SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francis co, California, that: 1. Resolutions establishing the prevailing rate of per diem wages adopted prior to the date of this Resolution are hereby repealed. 2. The prevailing rate of per diem wages hereto attached marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, is the prevailing wage for each craft, classification or type of workman employed on public works in the City of South San Francisco, exclusive of maintenance work, from and after adoption of this Resolution, and the same is hereby adopted and approved as the general pre- vailing rate of per diem wages to be paid such crafts, classi- fications or type of workman. 3. Three (3) copies of the prevailing wage scale hereby adopted shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk and made available to all interested persons. 4. Specifications which are prepared for any public work and improvement for which bids are to be received, shall contain said wage scale and if the said wage scale is not specified in the call for bids for such public work and improvement, but merely referred to as having been adopted and being available for any interested party on request, the contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall post a copy thereof at the jobsite. 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the "Enterprise-Journal," a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco. 6. After the completion of the publication as herein directed, the City Clerk is directed to cause an affidavit of such publication containing a copy hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relations, State of California. - 1 - I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced amd adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re~qular meeting held on the I gth day of ADril .. , 19 71 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Patrick E. The following sets forth the general prevailing rate of per diem wages, holidays and overtime work for public work, exclusive of maintenance work, to be performed in the City of South San Francisco. 1. PER DIEM WAGE - CRAF~ ..CLASSIFICATION OR TYPE OF WORKMAN NOT "'SPE~CI FIED. The rate for each craft, classification or type of workman which is not herein specified, shall not be less than the prevailing rate paid in such craft, classification or type of work as provided in the collective bargaining agreements established for San Mateo County and should there be no such agreement for the particular craft, classification or type of workman to be employed on the project, then the prevailing wage rate shall be the prevailing rate paid in such craft, classification or type of work as determined pursuant to Labor Code Section 1770, et seq. 3. HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME RATES. The rates for legal holidays, overtime work and allowances for vacations, pensions and health and welfare benefits shall be as set forth in the collective bargaining agreements applicable to the particular craft, classification or type of workman to be employed on the project as provided in Labor Code Section 1773.1. Exhibit "A" - 2 - 4. TRAVEL AND SUBSISTENCE PAYMENT. The rate and amount for travel and subsistence payments shall be that defined in the applicable collective bar- gaining agreements filed in accordance with Labor Code Section 1773.8.
