CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE
MAGNOLIA SENIOR CENTER ELEVATOR REFURBISHING
PROJECT NO. 510- 99999- PF1031
WHEREAS, on October 21, 2011 and October 28, 2011, staff advertised a Notice
Inviting Bids for the elevator refurbishing project at the Magnolia Senior Center ( "Project "); and
WHEREAS, on December 15, 2011 staff received one (1) bid from Otis Elevator
Company of Sunnyvale, California in the amount of $132,225.00; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20166, a public entity retains the
discretion to reject all bids it receives on a given project; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends rejecting all bids for the Project and re- bidding the
Project at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco hereby rejects all bids for the refurbishing of the elevator at the Magnolia Senior
Center, Project No. 510- 99999 -pfl 031 and directs staff to re- advertise for bids.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25' day of
January, 2012 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Karyl Matsumoto, and Kevin Mullin,
Vice Mayor Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Richard A. Garbarino
NOES: None

ABSENT: None
