CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT -
PORTION OF CHESTNUT AVENUE
(WITH RESERVATIONS )
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco as follows:
1. This Resolution of Intention is adopted pursu-
ant to the Public Service Easement Vacation Law, Section
50430, of the Government Code.
2. The public interest and convenience require, and
it is the intention of this Council, to vacate and abandon
the public service easement described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto, and reserve the sanitary sewer easement therein des-
cribed.
3. Reference is hereby made to the map entitled,
"Portion of Chestnut Avenue To Be Abandoned, South San Fran-
cisco, San Mateo Co., California," Drawing No. A3-1320-F,
dated September 8, 1971, prepared by Louis Attilio Arata,
Civil Engineer and Surveyor, on file in the office of the
City Clerk for particulars as to said easement to be vacated.
4. Notice is hereby, given that Monday, the 15th day
of November , 19 7~ , at 8 o'clock p.m. , in the
Council Chambers of City Hall, South San Francisco, is hereby
fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interes-
ted in, or having objections to, the proposed vacation of the
public service easement as herein described may appear before
said Council and be heard.
5. Notice of the vacation of said public service ease-
ment shall be posted conspicuously along the line of said
easement or part thereof to be vacated at least fifteen (15)
days prior to the date set for hearing, and said Notice shall
be posted not more than 300 feet apart, and not less than
three (3) of said Notices shall be posted.

6. Notice of the vacation of said public service
easement shall be published in the Enterprise Journ'al,
a newspaper of general circulation~ published in the City
of South San Francisco, and said Notice shall be published
at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing.
7. A copy of this Resolution shall be submitted to
the Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco
for its report and recommendation in accordance with
Section 50435 of the Government Code.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the ~8th day of October

DESCRIPTION
Portion Of Chestnut Avenue To Be
Abandoned East Of Mission Road
South San Francisco
San Mateo County, California
All that certain street right of way situate in the City of South San
Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, said right of way being
a portion of the old alignment of Chestnut Avenue, and being more particularly
described as fol lows-
BEGINNING at the southwesterly terminus of that course described as "South
57° 58' 56" West 130,80 feet" in that grant deed from Crocker Citizens National
Bank to the County of San Mateo, recorded November 6, 1970 in Volume 5856,
'Official Records of San Mateo County, at page 33; thence from said POINT OF BE-
GINNING southwesterly along the southeasterly boundary of the parcel of land
conveyed by said grant deed along the arc of a curve to the left, tangent to
the preceding course, said curve having a radius of 31 'feet, a central angle of
37° Ol' 25", an arc distance of 20.03 feet to the northeasterly line of that par-
cel of land described as parcel 583, Subparcel 1 in that certain Lis Pendens en-
titled "County of San Mateo vs, Marino R. Donati, et al", recorded April 7, 1970
in Book 5767, Official Records of San Mateo County, at page 44; thence along said
northeasterly line of Subparcel 1 southeasterly along the arc of a curve to the
left having a radius of 9483.34 feet and a central angle of 0° ll' 26", an arc
distance of 31.54 feet to the old southeasterly right of way. line of Chestnut
Avenue, a radial line to last said point bears South 36° 04' 08" West; thence
leaving said northeasterly line and along said southeasterly right of way line
North 43° 35' 00" East 157,04.feet to a point on said southeasterly boundary of
the lands of San Mateo County, which point is a point on the arc of a curve with
a radius of 841 feet, a radial line to said point bears South 34° 12' 32" East;
thence southwesterly from said point along said southeasterly boundary curving to
the right and along said arc of said curve with a radius of 841 feet through a
central angle of 0° 59' 23", an arc distance of 14.53 feet; thence continuing
along said boundary South 56° 47' 35" West {called South 57° 58' 56" West in first
above described deed) 130.80 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
RESERVING unto the City of South San Francisco a sanitary sewer easement, ten
(lO) feet in width, lying 5 feet both sides of the following described centerline'
BEGINNING at a point on the northeasterly boundary line of the above described'
street right of way, distant thereon North 56° 47' 35" East 74.80 feet from the
point of beginning of said right of way parcel; thence from the POINT OF BEGINNING
bf the herein described Parcel South41° 52' 20" West 90.13 feet to the southwest-
erly line of the above described right of way parcel. The side lines of said lO-
foot wide easement shall be extended or shortened to terminate on the boundary of
the above described right of way parcel.
