HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5709-1971RESOLUTION NO. 5709 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO CONSENT TO CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED FOR PUBLIC USE AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO AUTHORIZE CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES AND THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO CONSENT THERETO (KIESSLING PARCEL). BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco on the 8th day of September 1971 acquired certain parcel of real property for public purposes, to wit: Public parking lot, and said parcel is hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City desires to authorize the City Attorney to consent to the cancellation of taxes pursuant to Section 4986.2 of the Revenue and Tax- ation Code of the State of California, and, further, requests the Board of Supervisors for the County of San Mateo to authorize cancellation of County taxes and the District Attorney of said County to consent thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT: (1) The City Attorney of the City of South San Francisco is authorized to consent to cancellation of taxes on those parcels of real property acquired for public purpose, to wit: development of a public parking lot, said site being particu- larly described as follows: Lot numbered nineteen (1@) in Block numbered one hundred twenty-five (125) as per Map of South San Francisco Plat No. 1, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, the original of which is recorded in Map Book "B" at Page 6 and a copy thereof made in Map Book 2 at Page 52, to which said map and said record thereof reference is hereby made and the same made a part hereof. (2) That this Resolution be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo and the District Attorney of the County of San Mateo, and be deemed a request to said Board of Supervisors and District Attorney 5 to authorize and consent, respectively, to cancellation of taxes on said parcel of real property. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, at a meeting held this 17th day of 19 71 by the following vote: regular November AYES, COU]~CIL~N Patrick E.
