CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION DECLARING COUNCIL'S
INTENTION REGARDING YOUTH ADVISORY
COUN CI L.
WHEREAS, the Council, in Resolution 5675 passed September 20,
1971, recognized the Youth Advisory Council, a private organiza-
tion, as a valuable source of public expression regarding com-
munity affairs, and
WHEREAS, the Youth Advisory Council will function as a
private organization which will take an active part in advising,
discussing, recommending and initiating activities which will
serve the best interests of the youth in this community, and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to make information available
to said Youth Advisory Council and request the Youth Advisory
Council's advice on certain matters;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco that said Council does declare its
intention
1. To make available at reasonable times through the
office of the City Manager or other office designated by him,
information from City records which will assist the Youth
Advisory Council in its meetings and conferences regarding
matters of concern to youth;
2. To refer matters to the Youth Advisory Council for
report and recommendation when deemed advisable by the City
Council, including but not limited to those matters related
to teen programs, juvenile delinquency programs, youth employ-
ment programs, involvement of youth in municipal affairs,
problems of youth in a drug-oriented society, and other civic
matters falling within the jurisdiction of the City in which
youth have an interest; and
3. To receive and consider proposals initiated by the
Youth Advisory Council.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting
held on the 6th day of December , 19 71 ,
by the following vote:
