CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TERMINATION
OF AGREEMENTS CONCERNING TRANSIENT
OCCUPANCY TAX WITH THE COUNTY OF
SAN MATE 0.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco, State of California, that
WHEREAS, the Council has heretofore entered into agree-
ments with the County of San Mateo concerning the transient
occupancy tax providing for contributions from the transient
occupancy tax proceeds, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that any and all
agreements between the City of South San Francisco and the
County of San Mateo regarding same be terminated effective
the 31st day of December, 1971, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San
Mateo, State of California, in Resolution No. 29762, passed
November 23, 19'71, has authorized said termination on behalf
of the County and requested acts of termination by the par-
ticipating cities, including the City of South San Francisco;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED AND DETERMINED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council shall and does hereby, terminate
and rescind any and all agreements with the County of San
Mateo concerning the contribution by said City from the
transient occupancy tax proceeds for promotion and servicing
of conventions and tourism on a county-wide basis through the
Fair and Convention Association, said determination and
rescission to be effective on the 31st day of December, 1971.
2. That the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to send certified copies of this Resolution to
the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo.
