CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING ESTABLISHMENT
OF A BUS STOP (PEDESTRIAN LOADING
ZONE) ON EL CAMIN0 REAL BY THE
ASSIGNED TRAFFIC ENGINEER AND
CHIEF OF POLICE.
WHEREAS, Article XIII of Ordinance 491, adopted October ?,
1963, authorizes the Assigned Traffic Engineer and the Chief
of Police to establish passenger loading zones and the
Vehicle Code of the State of California further authorizes
said acts by City but same is not effective as to a State
highway until approved in writing by the State Department of
Public Works, and
WHEREAS, E1 Camino Real is a State highway, and the
Assigned Traffic Engineer and Chief of Police pursuant to said
ordinance have designated the Bus Stop (Passenger Loading Zone)
as described in Exhibit A attached hereto, and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to approve said designated
Bus Stop (Passenger Loading Zone) and submit same for approval
of the State Department of Public Works in accordance with
the Vehicle Code of the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco that:
1. The Bus Stop (Passenger Loading Zone) designated by
the Assigned Traffic Engineer and Chief of Police, which is
shown on Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby approved, in
accordance with Ordinance 491 adopted October 7, 1963.
2. The Assigned Traffic Engineer and Chief of Police are
authorized to obtain from the State Department of Public
Works, approval of the Bus Stop (Passenger Loading Zone),
establishment and regulation of which shall become effective
upon endorsement of said approval thereon.
