CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING GRANT
OF USE PERMIT UP-203.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on October 26, 1971,
denied Use Permit UP-203 (Commercial Planned Unit "H" in a
commercial zone of Westborough-West Park 2 Planned Community
District) and applicant appealed therefrom .on October 29,
1971, and
WHEREAS, the City duly noticed a hearing thereon for
December 6, 1971, held said hearing and after closing the
hearing continued the matter for determination to January 17,
1972, and then further continued to February 7, 19 72, and
WHEREAS, the Council received and considered the Planning
Commission report and recommendations and oral and written
statements made at said hearing, and prior Planning Commission
and Council actions related to the subject parcel, including
Planning Commission Resolution 2118 passed December 14, 1970,
which recommended amending the General Plan to change the use
of said 1.28 acre parcel to neighborhood commercial, said
recommendation thereafter being approved by the Council in
Resolution $507 passed March 1, 1970; and Planning Commission
Resolution 2115 passed April 26, 1971, which recommended that
the zoning classification of the subject 1.28 acre parcel be
changed to a commercial zone as defined by Ordinance 511, said
recommendation being thereafter approved by the City Council
· in Ordinance 617 passed June 7, 1971.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco finds and determines and orders as follows:
1. Findings and Determinations: That the requirements
of Sections $.7 et seq. and 6.23 et seq. have been met and
the uses proposed and the Use Permit will not under the
circumstances of this particular case be detrimental to the
le
health, safety, peace, morals, comfort and general welfare
of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such
proposed use and will not be detrimental or injurious to prop-
erty and improvements in the neighborhood or general welfare
of the City.
2. Order Approving. The Council orders that UP-203
stand granted with the proviso that no building permit be
issued until the plans proposed are fully implemented and
adequate security is furnished for the completion and main-
tenance of landscape planting.
