HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5784-1972RESOLUTION NO. 5784 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ARCHIE FREGOSI. WHEREAS, on February 22, 1972, at approximately 12:65 p.m. a fire swept through the residence building located at 451 Baden Avenue, South San Francisco, endangering the life and safety of the occupants and threatening the life and safety of the occupants of the adjacent buildings, and WHEREAS, Archie Fregosi, a former volunteer fire cap- tain, on becoming aware of the fire, entered the premises at 451 Baden Avenue and led Mrs. Donaciano Ibarra and her three-year-old grandson to safety, after which he entered the neighboring house and led two women and three children to safety~ and WHEREAS, Archie Fregosi performed these courageous acts in complete disregard of his own personal safety and the City of South San Francisco desires to commend him there for; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the members of the Council do hereby commend Archie Fregosi for his courageous act which saved the occupants of the residential premises from serious injury or loss of life.
