HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5785-1972 RESOLUTION NO. 57s5 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AMENDED ASSESSMENT LITTLEFIELD AVENUE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ASSESSMENT N0o 6 RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, San Mateo County, California, that WHEREAS, said Council did on the 7th day of February, 1972, adopt its resolution ordering Louis H. Goss, City Engineer, to make and file with said Council an amended assessment of all ~parcels of property the former assessment on which, under Resolution of Intention No. 3133 adopted by said Council on February 6, 1961, are designated upon the original assessment and diagram and confirmed by said Council on June 5, 1961, and recorded in the office of the Superintendent of Streets of said City, as Diagram and Assessment No. 6; WHEREAS, said City Engineer did, on the 7th day of February, 197g, pursuant to resolution ordering same, file with the City Clerk an amended assessment and diagram; WHEREAS, said Council fixed Monday, the 6th day of March, 1972, as the time for hearing said amended assessment and caused notice of said hearing to be 'publiShed twice in the South San Francisco Enter- prise Journal, the first publication being fifteen (15) days before said hearing, as appears from the affidavit on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said hearing, no pro~ tests or objections were made or presented to the proposed amended assessment, and all matters and things 'pertaining to said amended assessment were duly heard and considered by said Council; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that said amended assessment and diagram filed with the City Clerk of said City pursuant to resolution i'l Irt T' ordering same, be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the City Clerk of said City shall deliver said amended assessment to the Superintendent of Streets, together with a certified copy of this resolution thereto attached, and said Superintendent of Streets shall thereupon record such amended assessment in his office with a certificate at the end thereof by the City Clerk of said City that it is the amended assessment ap- proved by the said Council on March 6, 1972. The Superintendent of Streets shall note op~posite the several assessments in said original Diagram and Assessment that it has been displaced by said amended assessment, giving its date, and shall credit upon such amended assessments all payments theretofore made upon such original assessment. When said amended assessment has been recorded, the Superintendent of Streets shall cause the original assessment involved to be cancelled. The City Clerk shall file the amended assessment as confirmed or modified by the City Council with the County Auditor, who shall annually thereafter enter upon the assessment roll the installments becoming due on each component part of the original parcel opposite the description of the respective parcels so assessed. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 13th day of March, 1972, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Patrick E.
